Winners of the Nigerian Auto Awards

I searched all avenues online to get details of the Eight edition of the Nigerian Auto Awards held about two months ago in Lagos. Unfortunately I came up with nothing as  the award organizers (Onwheel Magazine) published nothing about the event on their website. Anyway, from scraps, bits and pieces I gathered from various Nigerian newspapers and auto websites, I’ve been able to get some info and below is the list of some of the awards “and winners” I could come up with. Unsurprisingly, Toyota again showed supremacy at the Nigerian Auto Awards carting about six awards home. These awards include.

1. Car of the Year --- Toyota Camry

2. Truck of the Year (One Ton) --- Toyota Hilux

3. C.E.O of the Year --- Mr C.K. Thampy “M.D Toyota Nig Limited”

4. Brand of the Year--- Toyota

5. Auto-dealer of the Year --- Mandilas Motors “Toyota Dealer”

6. After-sales service company of the Year --- Elizade Nig Limited

Other awards include

Budget Car of the Year --- Kia Picanto

Truck of the Year --- Mack Trucks “Lanre Shittu Motors”

Fastest Selling Truck of the Year: Sino Trucks

Upcoming Truck of the Year: Volvo Trucks

Auto Entrepreneur of the Year --- Mr Emeka Ndu “C & I Motors”

 Luxury Brand of the Year --- Mercedes Benz

Most Improved Auto Brand of the Year--- Kia

Bank of the Year in the Consumer (Auto) Section – Stanbic IBTC Bank
